Police in Kabale has arrested a 22-year-old man on allegations that
he injected his two nephews with blood infected with HIV/AIDs.
Bosco Ngusi, a resident of Hakabungo cell in Mukaranje ward, Katuna
town council is said to have committed the offence on December 12, this
year.
The Local Council Three chairperson for Katuna town council, Nelson
Nshangabashaija, said Ngusi used a syringe to get infected blood from
his body before him injecting it to the victims who are both four years
of age.
Ngusi is believed to have acquired the virus from his late parents.
According to the police spokesperson for Kigezi region Elly Maate who
confirmed the arrest, Ngusi was arrested on Saturday from his hideout
in Katuna town council.
He is currently detained at Kabale central Police station.
