The ICC Arrested Uganda’s Police IGP Kayihura in Rwanda

The Rwanda Police Service has arrested Ugandan IGP Kale Kayihura for the International Criminal Court after IGP failed to honour its invitation weeks ago.
The International Criminal Court weeks ago sent an invitation to the IGP of Uganda Police Force Kayihura over several police brutalities which are believed to be carried on per his instructions.
The Police Chief who thinks his powers go beyond Uganda failed to honour the invitation and as per the ICC laws, he has to be arrested for the ICC whenever he travels to any country.
Ugandans were on last month treated to shocking scenes of police officers caning supporters of Opposition leader, Dr Kizza Besigye, in separate incidents in Kampala.
Police chief Kale Kayihura called a press conference at the police headquarters in Naguru in days later and indicated that the beating of civilians, which has been widely condemned by the public and human rights activists, were carried on per his instructions and sees nothing wrong with it.
The Uganda Police Force was captured on cameras beating some supporters of opposition leader Kizza Besigye’s party as they celebrated his return from prison. Some police men on a police patrol truck whose number plate is UP 4916 are seen canning road side supporters in a move to clear the road for a convoy to pass.
